Frank Brown

Frank has been an associate member of the club since September 2009. His club car is a 1932 Ford Phaeton.

Frank has been married to wife Andrea for 41 years. They have two daughters, who are now 36 and 39. When the girls were 16 and ready to drive, they both received cool cars. The oldest daughter got a 1973 Rally Sport 4-speed Camaro. The youngest daughter got a 1967 SS 396 4-speed Chevelle Convertible. They both still have their first cars. They have a 3 year old grand-daughter and a 7 year old grand-son. I wonder what Grandpa has in his garage for the grandchildren when they start driving.

For Frank, it all started in 1957 at the age of 14 when he saw his first issue of Hot Rod Magazine. On the cover was a maroon chopped '32 Ford 3-window Coupe. He didn't know what it was, but he had to have one. In 1960, his dream came true and he bought his first 1940 Ford Coupe hot rod for $98. Today, Frank owns a 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster, 1932 Ford Roadster, 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe, two 1940 Ford Coupes, 1956 Ford Pickup, 1955 Chevy Del Rey Coupe, 1955 Chevy Nomad, 1967 Chevelle Convertible, 1967 Chevelle Coupe, and a pair of 1963 Corvette FI Convertibes.

Frank is a very smart man; he has "his and her" Corvettes, Ford Coupes and Chevelles. Sounds like his wife Andrea loves cars too!

Frank is retired after 32 years in the motion picture industry as a prop man. He has worked on 87 features. Andrea is a homemaker.

Now that Frank is retired, he has time for building, fabricating and tinkering with cars, attending car shows and cruises and driving his many hot rods on the highway. He also likes collecting antiques and playing rancher on their land. Andrea loves crafts, sewing and cooking. They have six head of cattle and three dogs.

Being the eternal optimist, Frank's motto for every day life is "Never give up and never grow up".

What it means to be a member of the L. A. Roadsters:  Being a member of the club is a dream come true! They feel lucky to be with good friends with similar interests and look forward to contributing to the club's future well being.
