Bill Verschuren

Bill had a massive stroke and died on Sunday,
May 15, 2011.

Bill will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Bill was an associate member of the club since September 2009. His club car is a 1926 Ford Roadster Pickup. He also owns a 1935 Packard 120-A Convertible Coupe, 1968 Ford
T-Bird, 1987 Z28 IROC Camaro and 1994 Mercury Cougar.

Bill and Mary Ellen were married for for 50 blessed and glorious years. They have two children. Bill is 43 and Cindy is 41, they also have two grandsons Zachary 11 and Will 6, as well as Cindy's husband Scott.

Bill's love of cars began when he purchased his 1935 Packard Convertible Coupe when he was 15 yrs old. He drove the car through high school and college and placed it in storage when he entered the Army. He still owns the car and it is currently under restoration at Nostalgia Motors. Mary Ellen shared Bill's love of fine automobiles.

Bill's daily driver was a beautiful 1971 Ford Ranchero. Their son Bill is carrying on the tradition of love for cars. He purchased his 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible when he was in the 8th grade. He restored it while in high school and still owns and drives the car today.

Bill and Mary Ellen were both retired high school teachers and coaches. They love to travel and especially enjoy seeing the grandeur of our country. Bill liked to work on his cars, reading about what other car enthusiasts are driving and participating in car shows. Mary Ellen keeps herself busy knitting for various charity organizations.

What it means to be a member of the L. A. Roadsters:  It's an honor and privilege to be an associate member of such a respected and honored organization.
