David Kornell

David has been an Associate Member of the club since 1992 and became an Active Member in July 2009. In May 2022, David became a Lifetime Member of the club for 30 years of membership.

His club car is a 1933 Ford Roadster. He also owns a 1951 Ford Convertible and 1932 Ford Roadster Pick Up (purchased from club member Larry Giminez in April 2011).

David and Marilyn have been married since 1964 (obviously married when they were still in grade school). They have three children. Their son Mark was born in 1969, and is married to Sandra; they have one son and three daughters. Son Greg was born in 1970, and is married to Debbie; they have a son and a daughter. Their daughter Danielle was born in 1975, and is married to Scott; they have two sons.

David and Marilyn are retired now, but have been busy operating the family business of senior housing complexes. Through the years, they have had the priviledge of working with both of their sons in the family business.

David enjoys spending time in his shop working on his cars and using his lathe and mill. They both enjoy spending the winters in the warm desert in California, and the summers at their cabin at a mountain lake in Canada. They are involved with their church whether at home or in the desert.

What it means to be a member of the L. A. Roadsters:  It is a privilege to belong to the car club that puts on the best car show, organized by club members and volunteers. I have always admired the L.A. Roasters Club and had the privilege of meeting some members in 1964.  It was a great honor to be invited to become an Associate Member. I look forward to working at the annual Father’s Day Event each year.
